Lobby Day - January 19, 2009     If you would like to spend the better portion of the day teaching politicians about the many reasons they should be progun with a group of like minded individuals please consider coming to the General Assembly in Richmond this January 19th, Lobby Day! It is a great time to learn more about how your government functions and the numbers help to prove to the Delegates and Senators just how serious we are about our gun rights.  So come on down and do not hesitate to bring the kids. Last year gun groups had over 400 people there and this year they are looking for MORE! Come on down and learn what the emotionaly driven anti-gun groups such as the Million Mom March and The Brady Campaign are saying about you.   You will travel about the General Assembly in teams with a group leader so you do not have to speak to the Delegates and Senators if you do not want to, but you can if you would like. Virginia Citizens Defense League License Plates      If you are looking to make a a pro-gun statement with your car, consider signing up for a new Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) license plate.  The VCDL is gathering names, and, if approved by the general assembly, and signed by the Governor, they should be available early in the latter half of 2009.  You can get the instructions and links to the proper forms on the VCDL's web site at www.vcdl.org. Why Are All the Gun Stores Empty?   Since the election gun stores have been reporting RECORD sales.  There have been almost 100 articles in papers all over the United States telling of empty gun store shelves.  This was not only fueled by the President Elect's past record on guns, but also because one of his agenda items posted on his web page was the permanent ban on all assault rifles.  Now I know we did not cover these kinds of firearms in our class, well, in most of my classes at least, but suffice it to say I would recommend you look into having at least ONE of these guns in your house before the President Elect takes the oath of office.  Make no mistake, for the next few years there will be a war on your right to defend yourself that this country has not seen in some time, maybe ever.

Since I have started teaching Virginia classes on a more regular basis it was suggested that a more generic email address might be a good idea.  Thus 4utahpermits@gmail.com is now 4permits@gmail.com.

All dates are separate classes.

If you want a safety class for any reason to include applying for a Permit to Carry a Concealed Handgun in Virginia, you only need to
attend one Virginia date not both.  If you want a Utah Concealed Firearm Permit you only need to attend one Utah date not both.

Virginia (Saturday class)
2008 – March 1st 10AM to 5PM (lunch 1PM to 2PM (approximately))
2008 – April 12th 10AM to 5PM (lunch 1PM to 2PM (approximately))

To sign up for the Utah class it is requested that you either HAVE a permit from your home state or at least currently QUALIFY for a
Virginia permit. Also note that there IS a range requirement for the Utah Class.

Utah (Sunday class)
2008 – March 2nd Noon to 6PM (no lunch)
2008 – April 13th Noon to 6PM (no lunch)

Classes are held in the North Stafford area at a couple of different locations.  A couple of days before the class, directions will be
provided to those who have registered, The cost is $100.00 (cash) paid the day of the class.

However, prepayment (check received at least 7 calendar days prior to the class / Money Order received at least 3 calendar days prior to the
class) gets you a $25.00 discount on the course fee, a nicer printed certificate instead of a hand written one, and a guaranteed seat in
the class.

To prepay send an email so we will know to expect something from you.

Do you have a 9mm or 38 special gun and ammo to use?
Or do you need to rent it ($15 extra)?
And will you need fingerprint cards ($1 extra)?

A confirmation email will be sent to you when payment is received.

Class sizes will be limited based on the size of the room.
